Dex was a life long Seal until sadly his last mission where he was wounded to much because of having to have both hips replaced, but luckily came to Louisiana to join the Reaper team. Marie is the oldest daughter of fifteen children from the Robicheax family and wound up married to a very sick and demented man and sadly stayed with him and endured too much abuse because she was scared for her family and was feeling ashamed of herself for helping him write grants that were supposed to be helping our veterans, but she realized her ex was actually dealing in weapons to hurt our soldiers. She finally paid back all of the money herself and went home to her family where she met Dex and she finally told him what she endured at the hands of her ex and then they found out that her ex was trying to get her back, so the teams planned a strategy to keep her safe. Her brothers especially were heartbroken when they found out what she went through to save them, especially her baby brother Alec that is six foot eight inches tall, because he endured his own hell.
